Barcamania: New, Vintage And Used Boats In Lignano Sabbiadoro
The renowned seaside resort Lignano Sabbiadoro on the Upper Adriatic Sea pays tribute to its blue sea with the first boat show: Barcamania.
The exhibition took in Lignano the lovers of small new, vintage and used boats from the 23th of February to the 2nd of March offering more than 30 exhibition stands on the central street of the seaside resort.
The choice of this location has been made to liven up the city, particularly the commercial area, during a period with a poor tourist stream, namely between Christmas and Easter. Thanks to this initiative, launched by the newborn charity institution of Lignano ?A smile from a wave?, several shopkeepers of the main streets Viale Venezia, Via Tolmezzo and Parco San Giovanni Bosco, opened in advance their shops offering products and services to the first Barcamania visitors and stimulating tourists from the neighbouring towns to come in the seaside resort during the week end.
Inside this boat show sea lovers observed about forty small-sized boats right for excursions and trips in the Lignano sea: opens, inflatables, jet skies and twin-hulled boat. Maybe the boat number seems not so high, but this is the first time of Barcamania in a seaside resort during the winter. It must attract high-level exhibitors in a different season and the organizers are satisfied about the adhesions to their new boat show. They also foresee an increase of involvement for the next year.
Among several stands it was also ?Cantieri di Aprilia?: organizer of Nautilia, the show of used boats that takes place in Aprilia Marittima in autumn from more than 20 years. That's an exhibition of used boats second only to the BoMa in Genoa for importance and lovers and exhibitors stream.
Barcamania and Nautilia joined their forces to stimulate the increase of boat market on this area of the Upper Adriatic Sea. In fact Nautilia is specialized in large and medium-sized used boats and it draws international big brands, whereas Barcamania concentrate on the small-sized boats. Aprilia Marittima with its wide and well equipped docks is the right place to house a big boat show and Lignano Sabbiadoro is the ideal town to exhibit jet skies, opens, inflatables and twin-hulled boats, crafts that are used by tourists during the summer season to make trips and excursions in the sea in front of the golden beach of Lignano.
