Fair Wind Sailing School Launches New Sailing Base on Lake Erie

Sandusky, OH (PRWeb) February 2, 2007 -- Fair Wind Sailing School - America's Best Sailing School - (http://www.fairwindsailing.com) announces the opening of its new Lake Erie sailing base at Battery Park Marina in Sandusky, Ohio. Fair Wind Sailing School, the first American Sailing Association (ASA) affiliate to operate in Ohio or offer ASA Certification sailing lessons on Lake Erie, now will be able to provide fast and convenient access to the Erie Islands. "This move will put the fabulous Erie Islands in reach of every sailing class and every charter," commented David Bello, President of Fair Wind Sailing School. "We are now the closest charter company to the Erie Islands."

Fair Wind's Ohio sailing school will be located in downtown Sandusky at Battery Park Marina. "With a heated pool, restaurant on premises and great location, Battery Park Marina provides the perfect location for us," said Bello. The location is a convenient drive from major metropolitan areas, such as Cleveland, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Pittsburg, and Detroit. From its Lake Erie base, Fair Wind Sailing School will offer its Instant Bareboater sailing lessons. This class teaches ASA 101, 103 and 104 in a week-long, live-aboard setting and is perfect sailing instruction for those preparing to bareboat charter or buy a boat. Fair Wind will also teach its Instant Cruiser course - a weekend, live-aboard class covering the material in ASA 101 and 103, as well as offer all of its vessels for both captained and bareboat charters.
